Distribuzione

Le due specie note di questo genere sono diffuse in mwdwVenezuelacite-ref-salticidae-1-0[1]: in particolare mwfaF. carinata è stata rinvenuta al confine fra lo mwfgStato di Bolívar e quello di mwfwApure; mentre la mwgaF. meridionalis in alcune località dello Stato di mwggGuáricocite-ref-2[2].

Tassonomia

Originariamente descritto da mwiqEugène Simon come appartenente al genere mwigVinnius nel 1902, solo dopo ben 100 anni, nel 2002, è assurto al rango di genere. A maggio 2010, si compone di due speciecite-ref-salticidae-1-1[1]:

• mwkqFrespera carinata mwkw(mwlaSimon, 1902)cite-ref-3[3] — Venezuela
• mwmgFrespera meridionalis mwnaBraul & mwngLise, 2002 — Venezuela
